Crane Lifting Plans

Aquarius Recruitment specialise in the provision of crane operators and personnel to the construction industry.

What are Crane Lifting Plans?

One of the requirements for any lifting operations in the UK is to have a crane lifting plan. For very basic and straightforward lifts this plan can be worked out by the crane operator or slinger.

On construction sites where multiple lifts will be taking place, or on more complex lifts, a written crane lifting plan is normally required. Written crane lifting plans will normally be written in accordance with the Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998.

Approved Code of Practice and guidance. This calls for the consideration of a wide range of factors including the competence of the people planning the lifting, the suitability and positioning of lifting equipment, how loads are going to be attached and the operating environment among other factors.
